Pane Vino

A truly Italian restaurant with a relatively secretive location. For sure a good choice for first date. Make sure you reserve your table as it is quite fully booked. Try to get tables "on the other side" with glass walls near the entrance & the fridge. The thing that impressed me most was the sauce & the bread. The best dish was the appetizer - mussels & clams in white wine sauce. You can smell the "freshness" of the seafood brought to you with the white wine flavour. The sauce was simply superb but the other dishes were so so. I don't recommend the cold cut platter. My gal & I shared one main dish (Cavatolli with clams in white wine tomato sauce) & without wine, the meal costed me $800 (one dessert included) which was not cheap at all (esp. when you know it costed you $70 for Mineral Water & $88 for Minestrone ). I think it is quite over priced for these "side items". Rughetta no doubt is a better choice.
